Key Responsibilities

  • Perform venipunctures and capillary punctures to collect blood specimens.
  • Label, store, and transport samples according to established procedures and safety standards.
  • Verify patient identification and medical history to ensure accurate records.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Provide excellent patient care, ensuring their comfort and safety during procedures.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including documenting procedures and maintaining patient records.
  • Communicate effectively with medical staff and laboratory personnel to ensure proper specimen processing.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and blood collection techniques.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and maintain professionalism.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
  • CPR certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience as a Certified Phlebotomist.
  • Experience in a healthcare or laboratory setting is highly desirable.

Working Hours

  • Full-time and part-time positions available.
